Overview

How foreign hiring works in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan admits foreign workers within an annual national quota — set at 52,000 for 2026 after analysis of sector needs. Employers apply for work permits for their foreign staff through the government's one-stop service, which now handles permits under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Construction, textiles and garment manufacturing, and mining are the main sectors using foreign labour.
