Why UK

Thousands of Pakistanis already work for UK companies. Most are paid the wrong way.

Freelance platforms and direct bank transfers are quick, but they leave the person without a contract, insurance or pension, and leave your company exposed if the relationship is later treated as employment. RRI's Employer of Record (EOR) desk gives UK companies the compliant alternative: a Pakistani-law employment contract in RRI's name, payroll and statutory filings handled in Pakistan, and your team member working for you exactly as before.

Pakistan is 5 hours ahead of London in winter and 4 in summer, so a 9-to-5 day in Pakistan covers the whole UK morning and early afternoon. Typical roles we employ for clients in the United Kingdom: accountants and bookkeepers on Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, software developers, customer-service and back-office staff, architectural and BIM technicians, paraplanners and compliance analysts.

FAQ

Employer of Record in Pakistan: questions from UK employers.

Can a company in the United Kingdom employ someone in Pakistan without a local entity?

Yes. Under an Employer of Record arrangement, RRI, a Pakistani business, becomes the legal employer of your Pakistan-based team member and you direct the work. No branch, subsidiary or Pakistani tax registration is needed on your side.

How is the fee taxed when paid from the United Kingdom?

The UK does not normally withhold tax on fees paid to an overseas service provider for work performed outside the UK, so the invoice is paid in full; HMRC off-payroll (IR35) rules apply only to UK-based contractors and are not engaged by a Pakistani employee employed through an EOR.

Which laws protect our data and intellectual property?

The employment contract is governed by Pakistani law and contains a present assignment of all work product to you, confidentiality and data-handling duties aligned with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our service agreement with you mirrors those terms.

What does the employee receive?

A written Pakistani-law employment contract, salary paid in rupees on the first business day of the month, income tax withheld and deposited with the FBR, EOBI pension and social security registration, group medical insurance, 14 days' annual leave plus casual and sick leave, public holidays and gratuity of 30 days' pay per completed year.

How quickly can we start?

Five to seven working days from a signed service agreement. We issue the contract, complete tax and social security registration and activate medical cover; the first payroll runs in the first full month.

What time zone do they work?

Pakistan is 5 hours ahead of London in winter and 4 in summer, so a 9-to-5 day in Pakistan covers the whole UK morning and early afternoon. Most of our clients in the United Kingdom agree a schedule in the employment contract so the overlap suits them.

Can RRI also find the person for us?

Yes. If you have not yet hired, our recruitment desk shortlists candidates in Pakistan within seven working days and the selected hire goes straight onto the EOR payroll.
